Job Description:

Loyalty is one of WestJet’s key priority areas as we look ahead to airline recovery and growth in 2022 and beyond. As WestJet becomes more complex and challenging, we are seeking a dynamic Advisor, Member Behaviour and Engagement to join our Loyalty Commercial team. The focus of this role will be on understanding member behaviours and the subsequent design and execution of tactical member campaigns, offers and promotions to foster engagement and support Loyalty and WestJet revenue targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead campaign development and delivery to maximize ROI, while ensuring that all aspects of offers are operationally feasible and approved
  • Work with internal partners in Marketing and Analytics to set campaign objectives, identify target audiences, measure and present results, and apply learnings for future initiatives
  • Create accurate and thorough offer terms and conditions for legal approval to aid in comprehension of offers, while protecting the financial interests of the airline
  • Work collaboratively with Loyalty Marketing, Performance Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to create and approve campaign content (email and landing pages), set up and test offer registration functionality and test and approve email deployments
  • Work collaboratively with Pricing & Revenue Management, Guest Experience and Marketing to optimize and promote Member Exclusive fares and leverage to sell distressed inventory more effectively
  • Build and maintain relationship with external partner for set up and fulfillment of buy WestJet dollars offers
  • Participate in the gathering and analysis of information including program results and trends, competitive actions, market research, and frontline feedback to analyze changes in the market and identify opportunities for, and threats to, the WestJet Rewards membership base
  • Using data to understand the different segments and behaviours of the WestJet Rewards membership base, be responsible for reporting on the results of member engagement with the program, including investigation to understand what is driving the results and deriving actionable insights
  • Work closely with Team Lead to strategize and build WestJet Rewards offer calendar to increase member engagement and drive revenue to the program and airline through targeted offers

Job Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, proficiency in French is an asset
  • Team player with high standard of initiative, strong work ethic and ability to work in an agile environment
  • Naturally curious with desire for deep understanding of subject matter
  • Superior attention to detail with a passion for flawless execution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create legal content to support communication of offers
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to derive insights and synthesize the “so what” of analyses
  • Experience with digital and email marketing to targeted segments, knowledge of campaign planning and measurement of success
  • University degree in business or marketing
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in a business or marketing role, ideally within the airline, loyalty, or travel industries
  • Experience working with multiple internal stakeholders and external partners, building trusting and long-lasting relationships
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to bridge communication between Loyalty and internal/external stakeholders
  • Exhibits a high standard of excellence, enjoy challenges, and is results-driven
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word); working knowledge of Microsoft Teams
