Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct program audits and on-site visits to field offices/institutions to monitor policy implementation and compliance.
  • Participate in establishing goals and objectives for programs and staff.
  • Provide liaison and coordination with other divisions of DCYF on programs having cross-bureau or cross-divisional impact.
  • Provide technical assistance and consultation to agency staff, vendors, and community groups.
  • Develop curriculum and provide training to agency staff, vendors, community and clients,
  • Collaborate with external partners to provide education, technical assistance, and support to ensure quality outcomes for children and families.
  • Collaborate with Headquarters administration to design and develop statewide policies, procedures, rules, and regulations for DDA and Mental services.
  • Monitor policy implementation, quality service delivery and contract compliance for DDA and Mental Health agencies.
  • Assist with finding secure placements for youth in Medically Fragile facilities and prepare child specific contracts for youth placed in DDA.
  • Facilitate mental health and DDA services for foster parents, parents, and caregivers.
  • Provide mental health technical support, consultation policy interpretation, direction, and oversight to staff, community partners, and providers.

Skills in engagement and relationship building with individual clients across diverse populations.
Ability to effectively, clearly, and concisely communicate with management, peers, clients, and the public.
Ability to function independently and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and coach peers.
Ability to develop and evaluate programs, work with program staff and agencies, analyze and resolve complex problems, and communicate with others.
Experience working with federal policies and regulations related to social, financial, and health programs.
Experience in early learning and family support programs in Washington State.
