Job Description:

Tesla is seeking a skilled and highly motivated CNC Programmer/Machinist to provide engineering teams across the organization with prototype components. Through your efforts, you will enhance design from conceptualization thru product validation, while shortening the design/build/test process. Job Responsibilities:

• CAM programming with Solidworks/Mastercam preferred
• Passionate about prototyping and machining
• Program and setup 3-5-axis CNC Mills (Matsuura, DMG Mori, Haas)
• Proficiency in high speed machining and tool path optimization
  Requirements
• 5+ years of multi axis programming
• Design fixtures and tooling to setup complex machining operations for experimental parts
• Open communication with engineers, management, and other team members
• Thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to program and machine complex and high tolerance components
• Work closely with engineering teams to provide crucial input on design for manufacturability
• Understand of speeds and feeds, able to edit G & M code from CNC controller
• Experience cutting a wide range of materials Aluminum, Plastics, Titanium, Copper, Brass, SST, 303, 304, 316, 440, 416, 1018, Tool steel

Job Requirements:

• Solidworks proficiency
• Esprit programming
• Machine maintenance knowledge
• Able to use manual machines such as mills, lathes, grinders
• Large format CNC machining
• Mill-Turn experience
