The Administrative Specialist II position is responsible for monitoring the administrative caseload by the entering and the managing of monthly reports in Kentucky Offender Management System (KOMS). The position will complete record checks on each offender, communicate with offenders, offender families, Department of Correctional staff, various state’s Department of Corrections staff, Probation and Parole offices and the Courts. All communications should be accurate and organized. This position will be trained.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure continued compliance with accreditation standards and correctional policies.
• Enter fees payments and reporting notes in KOMS.
• Review reports from courts and parole board
• Process required notifications to the courts, probation and parole officers and supervisors.
• Assist with the daily correspondence received from KY field offices as well as the other 49 states and 3 territories.
• Review new arrests.
• Maintain all Policies and Procedures required for the KY Dept. Of Corrections.
• Complete and maintain required training associated with job duties.

• Display the ability to think critically and analyze data to forecast positive outcomes.
• Ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the Department and Division.
