SunIRef:Event139 This position is responsible for: Performing work of considerable difficulty dealing with complex, sensitive and highly confidential personnel related issues. Serving as the primary personnel liaison for one or more areas with in-depth knowledge in Human Resources, with specialized breadth of expertise in the Operations area, employee relations, recruitment and compensation. Accountability for ongoing activities and may lead or participate in special projects. Conduct recruitment activities including posting job announcements on electronic job boards and/or other media. Conduct pre-employment verifications. Conduct investigations related to employee relations issues, draft and present findings. Perform salary calculations, personnel action transmittals and other personnel related actions. Create HRIS reports. Prepare data and reports for HR Scorecards and other performance metrics. Backup to the HR administrator. Job Duties: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of: Personnel administration including recruitment, classification and compensation, selection and hiring. Human Resources Information Solutions (HRIS). Experience with PageUp or related talent acquisition software. Federal and State laws, rules, regulations and procedures. Knowledge of or ability to interpret rules, policies and procedures related to work assignment. Arizona Revised Statutes. Documentation methodology and forms required to process personnel actions. Classification/compensation guidelines. Computer experience in Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, Access. Skills in: Reading, interpreting, understanding and implementing department and administrative policies and procedures. Researching, collecting, analyzing, editing data and reporting information. Independent problem-solving and decision making in the area of assignment. Working with people with diverse skills, educational and cultural backgrounds. Communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Establishing priorities amongst conflicting needs. Excellent customer service. Resume evaluation utilizing the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Selective Preference(s): Proficiency in using HRIS and PageUp or comparable applications.A minimum of 6-10 years of governmental Human Resources experience, performing at a professional level.
