Silver Airways Pilot Jobs – Staff Accountant

Job Description:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the annual financial statement audit, some tax functions, the monthly close process, and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will also assist the FP&A team with the budget and monthly variance process. The staff accountant will also be given a group of accounts to be responsible for (i.e. cash, AP, inventory fixed assets etc.)

Job Responsibilities:

• Month end close process
• Review expense reports
• Review and code credit card charges
• Reconcile accounts
• Prepare journal entries

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience in accounts payable management a plus
• Experience in parts and/or inventory management a plus
• Solid understanding of the month end close process
• Solid understanding of the reconciliation process
• Solid understanding of ERP systems
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytical skills of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Strong Excel skills
• Month end GL experience
• Experience in payroll management a plus
• Must be able to read reports
• Must be able to communicate with customers, vendors and team members.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly
• Must be able to type and use technical sources
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• A minimum of three to five years accounting, budgeting and financial experience required
• Airline, Cruise or Manufacturing experience preferred
