Job Description:

The Democratic staff of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is seeking a speechwriter to write formal remarks and statements for Committee hearings, floor speeches, public events and more. This position will also support the press team with additional writing, including op-eds, statements, releases and video scripts. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional writer with prior experience working with a principal on speechwriting, will be adept at conveying complex policy ideas and capturing the principal’s voice, and works well on deadline and on a team.
