Job Description:
Senator Bob Casey, Chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Aging, is seeking a Research and Policy Analyst to conduct oversight and investigations, in-depth research and policy analysis on key issues for the Committee. With direction from senior staff, this individual will draft oversight letters, reports, statements, memoranda and position papers. This individual will work closely with the Committee team to produce data analyses and products to support Senator Casey’s policy priorities and the Committee’s agenda. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who consistently exercises excellent judgment and works well independently. A can-do attitude, built-in curiosity, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple projects and strong oral and written communication abilities are required. Demonstrated ability to analyze and effectively use data is a plus. Candidates with background in journalism, law, research, public policy, data analysis and policy areas related to aging or disability issues are encouraged to apply. Pennsylvania ties always a plus.
