Job Description:

As Credit Risk Systems Senior Analyst, you’ll be responsible for building and implementing Risk systems for both existing and new products, whilst supporting the Risk team in the development of strategies. You’ll be responsible for interpreting complex requirements and designing and configuring systems to meet those requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, build and maintenance of SBAFS Risk systems (covering application and customer management decision systems)
• Be proactive and creative in dealing with any problems/issues identified throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop relationships with SBAFS outsourced Credit Decision Systems partners
• Assist in the development and production of efficient and effective MI, to monitor delivery of agreed systems performance to enable the business to meet its financial targets
• Ensuring MI is presented in a format to engage the audience and promote decision making and actions
• Assist in the continual improvement of Risk systems and performance
• Implement strategy changes in Risk Decision Systems, addressing implementation concerns as appropriate. Undertake Testing and produce auditable documentation

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in the use of computer-based software statistical packages (e.g. SAS, R, Python or SQL) and/or data mining applications
• Proven track record of working on own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role and the wider risk team
• Demonstrate an ability to think and reason logically
• Strong relationship management skills
• Excellent written communication – business and project reports and PowerPoint presentations
• Well organised and able to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
• Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Fully competent in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent technical skills in the area of Excel and macros
• Excellent team player with ability to working closely with others to deliver results
