RSPCA Jobs – Test Analyst

Job Description:

As a Test Analyst your role is fundamental to managing and coordinating project testing activities. You’ll be promoting the adoption of the overall Testing Strategy, establishing and promoting best practices and defect prevention throughout RSPCA. The Test Analyst role involves working in a variety of project teams to ensure formal testing of systems, applications or hardware is delivered to a high standard in line with agreed test strategies and plans.

We’re looking for a flexible and proactive individual who enjoys working with people and has demonstrable functional testing experience with exposure to non-functional testing.

Job Responsibilities:

• A solid understanding of ETL testing. Delivering Legitimate Interest and Supporter Journey activities under our strategic fundraising recovery program.
• Approving the migration of any software into the test environments
• Accurately capturing and subsequently reviewing testing results
• Coaching, training and mentoring test analysts and business testers in the use of test tools
• Assisting project managers or workstream leads with the estimation of testing effort required
• Promoting adoption of the overall Testing Strategy throughout the Society and demonstrating the value of this approach by ensuring consistent IT compliance
• Managing and coordinating project testing activities

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of structured test approaches (e.g. V-Model, Waterfall)
• Understanding of version and change control
• Source to Target Mapping Validation, Data Reconciliation and NF Requirements
• The ability to build and sustain relationships with internal and external audiences
• Software testing experience including test analysis, specification and execution of complex test cases

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience of working with database technologies to include Oracle, Postgress, Big Query and applications such as Salesforce is desirable
• Experience of working with ETL technologies
• Experience of producing project reports
