Job Responsibilities:

  • Works with Supervisor to plan, develop, and implement safety, health, and environmental programs according to OSHA and WA DOSH regulations
  • Conducts safety audits and consultations
  • Develops and conducts safety training programs
  • Reviews and analyzes accident data and recommends solutions
  • Facilitates and/or performs ergonomic assessments
  • Maintains appropriate documentation in accordance with state and federal requirements
  • Evaluates existing and emerging safety and health technologies in conjunction with other departments
  • Promotes safety initiatives
  • Makes decisions and recommendations regarding safety issues, as well as company policies, procedures and compliance with regulatory issues
  • Acts a Safety Committee representative

Job Requirements:

  • Three or more years’ related experience
  • Excellent judgment and discretion
  • PC skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint; preferred)
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local occupational safety, health and environmental regulations and policies
  • Experience in training and instruction
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical safety regulations
  • Must be certified in First Aid and CPR
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Formal training, certification, or equivalent in safety procedures preferred
