Job Description:

This Rehabilitation Casework Technician position is based in the Burlington Unit office. The primary purpose of this position is to provide casework and service delivery support to two Rehabilitation Counselors that primarily cover Mental Health and General/Physical Caseloads. This position will provide a variety of advanced assistive functions in support of two Rehabilitation counselors

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use of Microsoft Office to compose letters and documents as well as filing documents
  • Assisting with applications as needed and follow-up with consumers regarding progress made with service delivery and plan completion
  • Active participation in dual customer approach to ensure a working knowledge of job opportunities and external customer’s needs
  • Caseload support assignments and duties in general, are at the discretion of the Unit Manager and based on unit needs
  • Verbal and written communication with internal and external vendors
  • Serve as back-up to the receptionist position
  • Using e-billing to create Authorizations and pay invoices
  • Coordinating client appointments and arranging transportation, doctor’s appointments, psychologists, etc. as requested by counselor
  • Interview clients, gather diagnostic reports and other pertinent documents, assist with determining eligibility and the development of Individualized Plans for Employment (IPE)
  • Documentation in electronic/paper case file of casework and provision of substantial services, follow-along services
  • Greeting consumers and visitors, answering phones/in person inquires and relaying messages to the appropriate staff member
  • Send/track consents for medical records and data input into specialized software (BEAM)
  • Open and close the office

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in computer usage to include word-processing, data entry and email
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with the public
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience;
  • Experience providing administrative support to office personnel
  • Experience processing bills, invoices and operating basic office equipment
