The Environmental Test Engineering and Integration Branch at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is currently seeking a highly skilled candidate to serve as an Aerospace Engineer. This position involves conducting thermal-vacuum tests on spacecraft, instruments, and flight hardware to simulate the environment of space.

In addition to the basic education requirement (shown below), you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level supporting senior test engineers conducting thermal-vacuum tests on spacecraft; supporting the instrumentation systems and flight hardware to conduct space simulation testing. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level partnering with flight project teams to perform thermal-vacuum tests on spacecraft, utilizing instrumentation systems and flight hardware to conduct space simulation testing; reviewing test facility infrastructure and systems to ensure safety and reliability.
