Job Description:

The Leadership Consultant role is an exciting and varied key role that will work with the Head of Leadership and Leadership Leads to translate strategy into deliverables – contributing to the design, development, pilot and national roll-out of a strategically important leadership development programme. You will enable the development of skills and practices, strengthen individual and organisational capability and support continuous improvement and growth across the MoJ family and its 80,000 employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with commercial experts to drive and support a competitive tender or procurement process for external suppliers or providers
  • Providing leadership expertise, analysis, support and guidance to senior leaders, managers and stakeholders in order to identify appropriate learning and development products and solutions
  • Identifying and clarifying requirements including understanding priorities, developing options and creating frameworks to deliver outcomes whilst understanding the optimal approach
  • Proactively leading and delivering several projects at a time by building links with other teams, encouraging cross-team working and supporting and energising teams to deliver outcomes
  • Researching best practice and latest thinking, utilising stakeholder feedback and lessons learnt to continuously improve, pursuing excellence and credibility to support and develop everyone across the MoJ
  • Taking an active role in driving the leadership agenda to embed a learning culture that is underpinned by our organisational values

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent drafting, presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in a flexible, agile environment, planning ahead and adapting as needed to meet changing operational requirements
  • Experience of contributing to the development and delivery of robust and measurable organisation wide strategies and plans that deliver impact and positive transformational change.
  • Experience of working on your own initiative with a high degree of autonomy, delivering through others and ensuring that leaders are kept informed of risks and issues.
  • Experience of leading virtual teams and/or projects.
  • Experience of building and maintaining lasting stakeholder relationships.
