Job Description:

Manages and directs the completion of audit across CMB, as well as business monitoring activities, special projects and investigations of assigned major areas of the Company to independently assess risks and evaluate controls and compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations, making recommendations for improvement. Ensures external audit or regulatory criticisms of assigned businesses are corrected. The role will primarily be responsible for CMB activities, but will closely interact with Global Banking and eventually align/support Wholesale businesses.

Job Responsibilities:

• The role of the Senior Vice President (CMB) is within the Global CMB Audit team to lead and manage in a Subject Matter Expert (SME) capacity audit reviews of the US CMB businesses and operations including but not limited to Commercial Lending, Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Business Banking, International Subsidiary Banking (ISB), Government & Institutional Banking (GIB) and Global Trade & Receivables Finance (GTRF). The role will also interact with the Global Banking stakeholders and eventually merge with together with the Global Banking Audit team supporting the Wholesale target operating model.
• Ensure employees apply compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
