As a Regional Historic Preservation Architect,you will provide oversight for all regional historic preservation programs to agency management, professional colleagues, state officials and others responsible for facilities management in government-owned and leased buildings.

To qualify, you must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Salary is determined by the location for which you are selected. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ARCHITECTS: A Degree in architecture or related field; OR a combination of college-level education, training, and/or technical experience. For specifics on qualifying education, training, and/or experience – use the following link: Basic Requirements for Architect Positions.To qualify for the GS-12 level: In addition to the Basic Requirements listed above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11in the Federal service.

Job Requirements:

Specialized experience is experience in architecture, historic preservation and restoration in order to provide advice and guidance on matters affecting the repair and/or construction of commercial buildings. This experience must include researching historic preservation issues and concerns and providing recommendations for solutions; researching and implementing policies, laws and/or regulations; and monitoring and analyzing historic preservation program performance to ensure proper compliance with established procedures and policies.
