Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll be responsible the tax compliance and reporting for the global group, alongside of another junior tax manager with the assistance of the team’s tax analyst. You will also be involved in working with more senior members of the team assisting with ad hoc projects. Your role will include:

Job Requirements:

  • Development and completion of tax reporting schedules for US GAAP monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting requirements, ensuring Costa group is SOX and SAO compliant.
  • Preparation of UK compliance obligations, calculation of quarterly instalment payments, and drafting responses to any HMRC queries.
  • Management of UK and overseas advisors alongside Corporate Tax Senior Manager in respect of the preparation of the R&D tax relief and capital allowances claims, review of overseas tax returns and WHT filing requirements, and the review of overseas statutory accounts.
  • Management of employment tax risk within the business, including policies and procedures, HMRC filings, government grants, global mobility.
  • Management of Stamp Duty Land Tax for the retail business, including ad hoc advice and monthly reporting and returns.
  • Assisting the Corporate Tax Senior Manager with the ongoing review of the Group’s ETR and identifying opportunities to maximise tax reliefs available.
  • Assisting with the preparation of information requested by the parent company to meet their local tax return filing requirements; and
  • Work with all members of the tax team on ad hoc projects.
