As well continuously improving these live services, we are developing new services to transform other parts of the teacher recruitment journey for potential teachers and providers. We are replacing legacy systems with responsive, resilient and modern technology that meets business and user needs.

As a product manager, you will lead the development of one of these services, heading up a multidisciplinary team. We’re looking for people who have proven experience of leading product teams and delivery great digital products and services. We want people who are are passionate about agile working, who care about technology and who know how to make projects succeed. We want people who believe that how you work is as important as what you deliver. You will be bright, empathetic and persuasive. You’ll have a strong interest, and background, in digital technology.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver value to users iteratively
  • Understand the problem your product is designed to solve and champion your users needs
  • Develop and prioritise a product roadmap and backlog, write user stories and make decisions based on data
  • Advocate for your product to senior stakeholders
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive culture that stimulates innovation

Job Requirements:

  • Agile working: Experience of leading agile multidisciplinary teams in the successful delivery of products
  • Lifecycle Perspective: Able to lead a team through the different phases of the delivery lifecycle
  • Product Ownership: Captures and translates user needs into deliverables
  • Operational Management: Able to manage the operational process of designing and running a product or service throughout its entire life-cycle
  • Problem Ownership: Understands and identifies problems, using analysis to identify the appropriate solution
  • Strategic Ownership: Confidently engages with all stakeholders to generate commitment to goals and to gain a wider picture of the landscape surrounding activities and policies
  • User Focus: Understands users and can identify who they are and what their needs are based on evidence
