Job Description:
Under general supervision, these positions are responsible for supervising and directing up to ten youth workers (14-24 years of age) performing hillside brush clearance, weed abatement, landscaping, debris clearance and other general labor tasks on private and public property.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs hillside brush clearance, weed abatement, landscaping, debris clearance and other general labor tasks on private and public property.
May also perform general office work.
Uses and/or supervises the use of power and hand tools; the hauling and dumping of debris; and the maintenance of tools and equipment.
Works weekday, evening and weekend hours.
Transports youth workers in City vehicles; facilitates staff meetings; prepares and reports time sheets and other paperwork.
Evaluates subordinate staff; performs other related duties as required.
Ensures Department services are provided with exceptional customer service and the highest level of ethical standards.
Assumes responsibility for ensuring the duties of the position are performed in a safe efficient manner.
Performs other related duties as assigned or as the situation requires.
