Job Description:

Plans, leads, and provides executive management to Workday HRIS team and the Policy, Records, and Process Improvement functions. Oversee the optimization of HR technology programs in alignment with the vision of the HR Department’s processes and policy strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the timely delivery of HRIS projects and initiatives, including complex Workday configuration and support. Drives the necessary alignment between technology teams, business processes and a wide range of functional organizations. Serves as a proficient knowledge resource for HR business projects involving the development, implementation and testing of systems modifications and report creation across a variety of departments. Continuously provide support for the Workday system, HRIS team, and its users by performing data validation activities, researching issues/unexpected results and/or process flaws, testing new features/functionality, and recommending solutions or alternate processing methods. They have the ability to drive consensus and provide direction and is a hands-on subject matter expert capable of delivering the technology solutions required to solve complex business issues.

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of HR technology solutions to meet organizational needs and requirements. Ensure systems focus on consistency, scalability, self-service, and data accuracy.
  • Leads and develops a team of 7-10 professionals.
  • Ensure efficient and effective implementation and use of HRIS systems City-wide, including integration of systems where needed.
  • Translate business priorities into timely robust solutions addressing key business challenges across the HR function.
  • Maintain strong relations based on value provided, trust and transparency with primary business stakeholders. Negotiate appropriate trade-offs and ensure clear accountability, targets, timelines and deliverables for each major initiative. Collaborate with Key Stakeholders including, Fire Department, Police Department, ITS, Payroll, and vendors to make key business decisions.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, reliability of business-critical systems which includes managing priorities and balancing demand in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Responsible for leading and facilitating HRIS’s role in the implementation of new Workday Modules as well as new update releases.
  • Leads & Facilitates moderately complex HR business projects involving systems and/or business processes to obtain business goals and operational objectives with oversight from senior team members or management.
  • Create and maintain business related reports and dashboards in Workday.
