Job Description:

Cathay Pacific Airways is looking for an enthusiastic, service-oriented individual to join the Cargo team in Los Angeles as a Cargo Business Development Officer. The successful candidate will support the execution of cargo commercial strategies and conduct relevant analysis. This position will also undertake ad-hoc projects in order to improve efficiency, meet revenue targets and commercial Key Performance Indicators for the region.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the filing of tariffs in a timely and accurate manner
• Assist with the review of all Special Pricing Contracts
• Assist with capacity management for optimization of revenue
• Assist with mid-term inventory utilization requirements
• Provide support to the annual revenue and cost budgeting process as required
• Proactively track revenue commitments
• Assist with requests for pricing for Global and Key Accounts
• Generate revenue performance reports at a regional level
• Undertake ad-hoc projects and analysis when required
• Study and identify new markets, routes and business opportunities to assist the Sales team with revenue generation
• Assist with analysis to formulate global and key account strategies
• Help to execute the regional Cargo Business Plan
• Support the execution and implementation of the direction on sales channels, products and offline sales development

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge or experience of CHAMP Cargospot system is an advantage
• Must comply with the Company’s mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination policy
• Minimum 1-2 years’ airline cargo experience preferred
• Degree or diploma in a logistics, sales and marketing or business discipline is an advantage
• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
