Job Description:

The Crew Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible to oversee and maintain both daily and weekly operations which pertain to the Flight Crew member’s schedules. The Crew Scheduling Coordinator, in conjunction with Calm Air’s SOCC team, will be responsible for making effective scheduling recovery plans, during irregular operations based off Flight Crew members schedules, collective agreements, Company policies and CAR’s regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all Flight Crew members schedules in VMO in accordance with daily operations
  • Provide clear, effective, and timely communication to all Flight Crew members as it relates to scheduling and/or rescheduling of business travel and accommodations
  • Responsible for the monitoring, investigating, and executing recovery plans of all Crew Members violation and regulation breaks
  • Maintain the Ground School matrix, in conjunction with Flight Ops Managers
  • Responsible for approving all Crew Members per diems and monthly expenses
  • Responsible for the approval of department purchase orders, incoming invoices, and credit card statements
  • Interpret and administer ALPA/CUPE collective agreements
  • Promote occupational health and safety within the department, and participate in the development and monitoring of safety training
  • Responsible for covering and maintaining all Flight Crew members time off requests
  • Notify the Crew Scheduling Supervisor of any Crew Member attendance issues
  • Proactively communicate hazards and SMS initiatives with the department
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Computer skills (MS Office) with emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and written
  • Previous aviation experience considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Travel may be required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance qualification
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Post-secondary education in related field considered an asset
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Familiarity with VMO, Great Plains, and Amelia considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
