Bank Of America Internship – Operations Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Operation Analyst to join our Commodities Settlements team in Chester specializing in Precious Metals.  You will offer premium Client service and deal with all Client queries and manage the relationships between our Clients and internal BofA departments. Directly interacting with Clients on a daily basis, you will be the main point of contact for clients on all operational issues and will act as Client advocate within BofA to ensure all clients’ needs are met. This is a great opportunity if client service and career development is something you are passionate about.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the settlement of physical precious metals and financial derivative trades for all indexes
• Analysing accounts receivable and payable aging, working with counterparties, sales, traders, and the confirmation team to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain internal control processes and procedures within a operational awareness culture environment
• Industry regulatory reporting tasks
• Add value though implementation of improvements to the system infrastructure & control environment
• Communicate updates and escalation to senior management
• Involvement in projects and ad-hoc testing

Job Requirements:

• ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority and with internal and external clients
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation
• Good level of competence in Excel and Outlook
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a high-energy environment and to learn and develop in a fast paced, high volume environment
• A keen problem solver and a thirst for improving processes combined with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
