Job Description:
We are seeking self-motivated, safe, positive, enthusiastic, goal oriented individuals for immediate openings as Line Service Shift Supervisor at our facility located in Birmingham, AL (BHM). The Line Service Supervisor’s primary function is to anticipate the needs of the customer and assign tasks to subordinate personnel that meet and exceed the customer’s expectations in a safe and efficient manner within the time-frame of the assigned shift. Line Supervisor’s will establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all customers, while promoting a harmonious workign environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform and adhere to all recognized quality control standards including ATA 103 and NFPA 407.
- Maintain site practices and procedures that contribute to a safe, profitable, positive, and enjoyable work environment.
- Daily quality assurance and accuracy of paperwork and auditing of fuel paperwork.
Monitor and update daily aircraft arrivals and departure requirements. Ensure timely service that exceeds customer expectations. - Design and facilitate appropriate daily communication with CSRs to ensure service accuracy and completeness.
- For facilities without a Line Service Manager (dependant upon base structure), will enforce company
- Provide employees assigned to the shift honest communication regarding performance expectations including areas of personal strength and needed development.
- Enforce good housekeeping practices and uniform standards to employees.
- Initiate emergency and incident response procedures as required.
- Train, evaluate, and develop new hire employees in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure proper staffing and delegate work assignments for all Line Service Technicians on the assigned shift.
- Resolve customer service issues and communicate issues to the appropriate staff.
- Monitor and maintain proper fuel inventory at the storage facility.

- Organize periodic shift meetings and facilitate communication between shift personnel and Management.
- Interface with customers to ensure all servicing requirements are met and that customers are satisfied with our service.
- Inspect entire facility for cleanliness and proper equipment operation. Report all facility discrepancies to the Line Manager or Operations Supervisor.
- Keep fueling equipment and courtesy cars in presentable condition.
Job Requirements:
Experience with aviation ground handling services is required. Atlantic Aviation has a thorough training program to ensure that all of our employees meet and exceed the highest levels of safety and customer service. Prospective applicants simply need a strong sense of safety and customer service to apply. This position does require you to work in all weather conditions, and flexibility with your schedule is a must as we operate 24 hours a day. As a minimum requirement, each applicant posses the following
- Consistently demonstrated good organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to comprehend and perform basic math calculations with minimal errors.
- Flexible work schedule may include working overtime, nights, on weekends, holidays, and be on call.
- Valid state driver’s license and meet the company’s insurability requirements.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent customer relations skills required.
- High school graduation.
- One (1) year of line service experience.
- NATA Certification.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
