Job Description:
As a member of the Risk & Safety team you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the organization’s training needs. This position will partner closely with the department leads to create effective learning for each department in a timely manner. The Training & Development Manager’s responsibilities include managing the training team, timelines, and projects. They should be well-versed in instructional design methodologies, performance management, needs analyses, and adult learning techniques to develop appropriate training programs as required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent Atlantic Aviation in a professional and positive manner.
- Communication of work progress and significant issues with the SVP of Risk & Safety.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Project manage each training request to deliver quality training materials within targeted timelines. This means organizing all knowledge intake meetings, checkpoint meetings and communicating project milestones to stakeholders.
- Supervise the management of the LMS.
- Evaluate employee and organizational training needs.
- Align training with Atlantic Aviation’s goals.
- Design, develop and implement learning strategies and programs. Ex e-learning courses, workshops, job aids, and other trainings.
- Update training programs to ensure they are relevant.
- Coordinate and supervise Training & Development Specialist with projects.
- Supports in-person training sessions, as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Positive attitude; always willing to learn.
- Occasional travel required.
- Must be open to occasional overtime as needed or required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Learning Technology, Marketing and/or Communications, Or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- Significant experience with effective learning and development methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, RAD, The 6 Disciplines of Breakthrough
- Learning, Bloom’s Taxonomy, etc.
- Proficiency in use of MS Office products including Excel and Outlook.
- Proficiency in use of Adobe Creative Cloud products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Audition (Premier Premiere Pro CC and After Effects a plus).
- Possess high level of maturity and treatment of confidential matters.
- Valid driver’s license and at least 18 years of age
- Proficiency in use of eLearning development tools. Articulate 360, Articulate Rise, and Camtasia.
- Operational understanding of Learning Management Systems. (Absorb LMS experience highly preferred).
