Job Description:
MAMA’s House (Mothers Achieving the Master’s Agenda) is sponsored by Christian Fellowship Baptist Church and DAVE’s Place Community Impact Center. We operate a safe and supportive residence for women who are in recovery from substance use disorders and other problems. The program was opened in 2017 and is accredited by the National Alliance for Recovery Residences. M.A.M.A.’s House is staffed by individuals who have Recovery Support Specialist and Recovery Support Specialist-Peer credentials from the Missouri Credentialing Board. Most have received special training in Medication Assisted Treatment which is critical for helping residents who struggle with opioid use disorder. Residents of the recovery house participate in the recovery services of the Wayne D. White Recovery Community Center. These include individual counseling, recovery classes, group therapy, and support groups.
Job Responsibilities:
Research the history and the scope of practice of the assigned member agency. Research best methods for developing and publishing a website with actionable services. Based on this report, identify the strengths and weaknesses of the assigned member agencies current web presence, and make a plan for improvement. Develop and publish a website for recovery support providers so they are professionally represented online and those seeking recovery resources can better navigate their continuum of care. Research local community organizations, training opportunities, and businesses to identify community partners in the fields of website programming. Research best practices for accomplishing website development for recovery-oriented systems of care. Establish/source training material for implementation of website maintenance so that content can be updated in the future.
